You may be asking yourself, "so who or what is the BACPage"? First let me state the following: The BACPage is not a formal ministry of any church or Christian Organization. I am not a pastor and/or minister by profession. My formal theological education has been a couple of courses night courses through Moody Bible Institution, some internet classes, I have had several classes through my church and teachings of several Christian speakers. What I believe can be found in my mission statement and beliefs page. The contents of the BACPage comes from prayerful writings resulting from my reading of Christian books and the reading of God's Word The Holy Bible |

I'm not one to write about myself as I prefer to keep this website not about me but about my walk with Jesus Christ. However I do feel it is important to say a little about myself so visitors will have a perspective of the source of The BACPage. My name is Scott. I've been a Born Again Christian since November 1995. My testimony can be read in "I Wouldn't Have Made It: My Coming to Know Jesus Christ" I'm a single parent with joint custody to, a now 15 year-old son (WOW)! who lived with me a western suburb of Chicago IL, since my divorce in February 1996. In June of 2004 he went to live with his mom in Wisconsin . He was and still is my everything after God. I'm not a Webmaster by profession.
All my web skills, which I admit are limited, are self-taught. I am in
the technical profession as an e-commerce consultant. I wish I could spend more time on The BACPage in doing apologetic research and writing messages, but I'm quite involved in serving in my home church Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington, IL. I was involved in the Single Parents Ministry from September 1996 - January 2001 as a small group leader. I've also at various times in Willow Creek's children ministry Promiseland as a parent helper in my son's small groups; Harvest Food Ministry serving pizza to church attendees with my son, and Services Ministry as an usher or greeter. In February 2001 I got involved with the Men's Ministry. leading a small group of men called the Overcomers. The Overcomes is a mid-size of 30 - 40 men who are having difficulty in their marriages and or are separated from their wives but have hope through Jesus Christ to improve and reconcile the marriage, by growing as disciples for Jesus Christ. I'm very passionate about missionary work. In October 2001 I was spent a week in the Dominican Republic building a school. In November 2002 I went to Oberhaussen Germany to assist in a Willow Creek Association Conference. It is my hope to return to the Dominican Republic or visit Costa Rica or Africa someday. My current serving is in the Prison Ministry. It thus far has been the most AWESOME service to God in my life as a Christian. I've been to several state prison in my home state of Illinois and to Angola State Penitentiary in Louisiana. I'd love to share the stories of prison ministry in depth and am looking for ways to incorporate it into The BACPage. I like spending chill times watching movies on DVD or at the theater. If I'm with my son, we like to do laser tag and go-carting. Are favorite place to go-kart is Wisconsin Dell. I spend a lot of Friday evenings with two of my closest fellow Christians Ray and Luanne and have another very close brother in Christ who lives in North Carolina. I love reading Christian books on apologetics and personal spiritual growth. The BACPage is base for my passion to share the love and grace of Jesus Christ. He has changed my life drastically. I have a passion to see others come to know His love and grace. I would love to see The BACPage flourish and some day be able to donate a great deal more time to it's mission, but for now I'm I feel God has called me to serve fully in the prison ministry and to continue my best to being a dad and dealing with teenage adolescent attitudes - LORD HELP!! :-) Actually my son though trying is a GREAT YOUNG MAN - Thank You Lord for blessing me with such an AWESOME son. Being a Born Again Christian and serving God does not mean a
life of soft music, heavenly sighs and naive living. God grows me daily through
trials and frustrations. There are those disappointing times when you
are reaching out to someone and it isn't materializing out the way I've prayed, but
God has told me He is in control and I only need to be the link not the
chain. It is trying when I can't give to THE BACPAge as I wish and wonder
if I'm reaching anyone, but I'm reminded of what a friend once told me, when
you get to heaven and even if there is only one person who came to know Jesus
Christ through The BACPage, it would have been worth it to that one person. "I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I
may share in its blessings."
